The 2020 pandemic leaves the Alden with a partially constructed set still sitting on the stage from our (unfinished) production of “Dorothy Meets Alice.” I am commissioned to devise a new piece from the leftover materials (creepy metal tree structures and a lot of wood). The resulting play is a take on the “Haunted Ski Lodge” ghost story, told by a group of friends as a dare to scare the bravest among them. The tale ends up so scary, the poor kid almost has an “accident” of his own.
